Ternamah

Sulafa Seet

The Tarnama project seeks to create a digital library for Saudi music by focusing on classical and traditional Saudi music and by reproducing the music using an oud. Tarnama will introduce four pieces of music with a new composition, video-recorded in four clips, and the duration of each clip will be four minutes, in which the oud player appears with one or two accompanying instruments depending on the genre. In the end, an expert speaker will elaborate on the concept behind the project. This project aims to establish musical taste and knowledge that are independent of the song and prove the existence of a unique character in the music of the Arabian Peninsula with its own forms and style, which is reusable and rich in detail. Several experienced oud players are working on this project.
