Mourtadha Al Hamood
Mourtadha Al Hamood is a Saudi content creator, filmmaker and photographer since 2006, with initial experience in videography and editing in 2009. He is a certified trainer for the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, a television producer for the Eastern Province Health Cluster, and has experience as a team leader for media coverage of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Eastern Province and an editor for all official COVID-19 pandemic videos. He has also presented a series of lectures and workshops in the fields of editing and photography. Al Hamood launched his educational YouTube channel, M TUTs, in 2017.
Al Hamood has also participated in numerous events, including:
• The al-Hasa Municipality Exhibition in 2008.
• Organizing the photography competition at the Dammam branch of the Saudi Arabian Society for Culture and Arts (SASCA) in 2011.
• A lecture on the basics of portrait editing at al-Hasa Arts in 2012.
• The Sixth Children's Theater Forum held at Dammam Arts in 2012.
• A lecture on the Final Cut Pro program with the Art Production Group in 2013.
• A course on portrait photography with the General Authority for Youth Welfare in 2013.
• A lecture on Lightroom at the Middle East College (MEC) in Oman in 2014.
• A workshop on multi-camera photography and editing in al-Hasa, Hafar Al-Batin and Bahrain in 2018.
• A lecture on the latest developments in video technology in cooperation with the Qatif Photography Association in 2020.
• A course on cinematography and editing at the Al-Basaer Institute in Jiddah in 2020.
He has also delivered several courses in the field cinematography, including the Basics of Cinematography and Editing course at the Eastern Province Health Cluster in 2021, participating in the Health Media: The Pivot of Transformation forum in 2022, a series of workshops with Sony in 2022, and a series of workshops with the global lighting company Aperture in 2022.
Al Hamood has also participated in the filming of several Saudi films, including Lisan (2016), The Little Bird (2019), Bilal the Sixth (2020), Shahadat Shukr (2021), Sheikh Al-Jinn (2021), Qarqee'an (2021), Lightning (2021), Jama’ Mudhakkar Salem (2022), Flat Belly Syndrome (2022), Marqam (2022) and Fist (2022).
