Study/Meeting Rooms

The library has study/meeting rooms available for members to book. These rooms are available on level 2 and have AV equipment including projectors and a sound system. The rooms can accommodate between 6 to 21 people. To book one of these rooms and see the policies, don't hesitate to get in touch with the library through library@ithra.com.

Computers and Printing

There are PCs available for visitors to use on level 3, 4 and 5. The PCs have internet access and Microsoft Office applications. If users want to print, they can ask a member of staff to print their file. The first 10 pages of printing and photocopying are free! We also provide iPads for loan to members. These can be used in the library and are available on level 2.

We have newspapers and magazines in Arabic and English from around the world available for visitors to browse through in the library. We also have free access to more than 7000 digital magazines and newspapers available directly from your mobile device.

Cultural and Literary Clubs

Ithra’s Library is pleased to provide a welcoming space to host cultural and literary clubs. The Library is constantly seeking impactful strategies for helping to develop cultural awareness in Saudi society — and this ongoing open offer is very much part of that effort.

Collection Borrowing and Use Rules

External Borrowing:

  1. Items can be borrowed for up to 2 weeks.
  2. A maximum of 5 items can be loaned at the same time.
  3. Items can be renewed once from the website, over the phone 8001221224, or by visiting the library.
  4. Overdue items will incur fines of 2 SAR per day per item.
  5. If the item is damaged or not returned within 60 days, it will be assumed lost and the patron will be liable to pay the replacement cost and the accrued fines plus 30 SAR processing fees.
  6. The membership owner has to be present to use the borrowing privileges.
  7. For family members, all email notifications will be sent to the primary membership holder.
  8. Fines have to be paid at the Ticket station at the Plaza or by accessing library account

Internal Borrowing:

  1. Devices (e.g. laptops and iPads) can be borrowed by Adults and Young Adults for onsite use only.
  2. Devices can be borrowed for 2 hours.
  3. User is considered liable for the period the device is borrowed.
  4. User cannot borrow more than one device at a time.
  5. Devices can be borrowed from the library's customer service.
  6. Membership owner has to be present to use the borrowing privileges.
