Course Brief Description:

Being an artist means you have treasure deep inside you that you portray in your artwork. Inside every artist is a unique treasure that has great value and meaning for both themselves and for the art community. Sharing this artwork with the target group through a portfolio is a technique that every artist must master.
This course will introduce you to the basic guidelines of how to create and build a portfolio of your art practices. A portfolio is a collection of one’s accomplishments, skills, and experiences. Nevertheless, it showcases and highlights samples of one’s best work. As a curator or artist starting your career, you will need to prove your skills and knowledge on various occasions through this portfolio.
In this four-day course, participating artists will learn to showcase the experience gained throughout their artistic career. Throughout this journey, the participants will go through the key steps to building their portfolios. Nonetheless, participants should already have previous artworks and projects that will be included in their recreated portfolios. Hence, they should come to the workshop with a rough draft of their portfolio, which will be refined during the program and used as a foundation for their professional development.

1- To get proactive tips and techniques regarding structuring an artist portfolio.
2- To highlight one’s strongest skills and express their creative interests in their portfolio.
3- To recognize and practice the standards of creating a portfolio that fulfill the expectations that best reflect one’s self.
