The sixth Saudi Film Festival will run from September 1 – 6, 2020. This year’s programming will be showcased online. The festival is an annual non-profit event that is organized by the Saudi Arabian Society for Culture & Arts in Dammam (SASCA) in partnership with the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) and supported by the Film Commission under the Ministry of Culture.

Now in its sixth edition since 2008, the Saudi Film Festival has grown into a major catalyst for the exchange of ideas among creative and artistic filmmakers. During this time, Ithra has not only blossomed into one of the Kingdom’s leading venues for premiers and film programming, but one of Saudi’s leading film production houses.

During the six-day festival, the program will include Saudi film competitions, discussions, workshops and seminars.

The Saudi films participating in the festival will be screened online through YouTube.

They will be available for Ithra visitors to enjoy. Some sessions will be streamed at Ithra Cinema during the festival period from September 2-5 from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. To view the screenings online after the Center's closing hours, you may access the official Saudi Film Festival website for more details.
