Imam is an Egyptian author and novelist.  He holds a bachelors in English from the University of Alexandria. He published New Birds Unspoiled by the Air, The King of Five Seas, The Law of Cat, The Calm of Killers, The City of Endless Walls and The Taste of Sleep. His latest novel (Cairo Maquette) was shortlisted for the 2022 International Prize for Arabic Fiction.
