Course Description:
This immersive course provides artists, digital artists, filmmakers, producers, editors, colorists, and dops with a comprehensive introduction to the captivating world of Visual Effects (VFX). Over the course of five days, participants will gain a solid understanding of VFX fundamentals, tools, and techniques, culminating in the creation of their own VFX project.
Course Objectives:
- Introduce participants to the VFX world and end some incoherent interferences that could be misleading.
- Prepare some basic knowledge for participants to start playing with VFX.
Course Outcomes:
- To complete one’s own VFX project.
- To showcase the skills and knowledge acquired throughout the course.
- To reinforce one’s learning.
- To build a portfolio piece that can be shared or used for further VFX pursuits.

Facilitator
Chadi Abo
Born in Damascus, Syria, Chadi studied architecture and graduated before he moved to France to start a new path in ENSAD Paris. In 2001, he finished his first short animation film ‘Blinks Of Exile’ which was featured in many festivals. In the same year, he started a long career in VFX in BUF and worked on many international productions from Matrix Reloaded, 300, Alexandre, Arthur et Les Minimoys, etc. In 2012, he founded his image creation studio (HECAT Studio).
