As a Design Fellow and the former Chief Creative Officer of IDEO, Michelle guides creative teams in bringing to life the emotional core of design strategies and disruptive concepts in sensorial expressions across mediums. She spent the last seven years in the Middle East, where she launched and led the Dubai Design Lab, a joint collaboration between IDEO and the UAE government to elevate the creativity of the nation, designing new strategies, services, spaces and entirely new ministries. Most recently, she co-founded the Friday Gallery in Los Angeles, creating a platform to celebrate artists, designers and artisans from the Middle East and South Asia, and across the Southern Hemisphere.

With over 20 years in the design industry, she has guided C-suite leaders and teams in designing new brand and customer experience strategies, products and services across fashion, gaming, entertainment, healthcare, financial services and education, spanning both the digital and physical realms. Her expertise is grounded in social and behavioral psychology, cross-cultural trendspotting, emerging tech, brand strategy and storytelling, and a quest for the next global aesthetic edges. She is known for creating brave design strategies and experiences that are intensely human, visually iconic and strategically persuasive — helping rewild our collective imagination.
