Tariq al Khawaji is Ithra librarian, the supervisor of the IRead National Reading Project and a consultant at King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra). He is a writer and a film critic. He is passionate about story-telling, cinema, anime, video games and the history of arts. he wrote the books قلعة الأنمي“ ” and “ العازف على بوابات الفجر ”. he has had many art articles published in Asharq Al-Awsat, Al-Watan and Al-Riyadh. He is also a writer, film citric and a true fan of anime. He graduated from the faculty of Islamic Theology and Contemporary Doctrines, Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University. He worked as a teacher of religion in southern and eastern Saudi cities, then as an editor at Saudi Aramco. Later, he joined the team at King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) and has worked on cultural and media programs, including the national competition iRead.
