RASEM BADRAN

Dr. Rasem Badran, received his degree in architecture from the University of Technology Darmstadt, Germany. Holds an honorary PhD in Architectural Design from the Jordan University of Science and Technology, and a recipient of the Aga Khan Award for Architecture for the design of the Grand Mosque of Riyadh and redevelopment of Riyadh Old City Center. Dr.Badran is an architect whose works are based on a methodological approach in defining Architecture as a continuous dialogue between contemporary needs and historical inherited cultural values. He founded the regional architecture, planning and engineering office Dar Al-Omran in 1980.
