Loulwa Alsharif (aka Lady Lou)

Singer

Loulwa Al-Sharif has always loved music and performing, even as a small child she would perform her favorite Arab songs in front of the mirror in her bedroom. Al-Sharif grew up in a musical household, her father was an oud player who enjoyed playing Hijazi songs. She still holds a deep love for this music, but over time her tastes have expanded to include soul, blues, and jazz. Her goal is to create a musical genre that fuses her musical loves of Hijazi and soul music, so she can represent herself and this unique Saudi-sound all over the world.

From 2018 Al-Sharif was officially approved by the General Entertainment Authority to sing at public concerts, part of the Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salam’s vision 2030. This granted her the opportunity to open a concert for her teenage idol Joss Stone in 2019 as well as performing at several public events across the country.

In 2020 Al-Sharif was chosen to study a Musical Theatre course from the Ministry of Culture, allowing her to develop her skills as a singer, but also as an actor.
