Facilitator bio: Julie Bak-Christensen is a teacher and sociologist by training and a self taught artist. Her artistic practice is dedicated to reviving half-forgotten craftsmanship within the world of textile and paper. Strongly rooted in marbling and natural dye techniques, Julie’s work with her studio “Marble Matter” attempts to reinterpret classic processes in a contemporary context. Sharing her knowledge is at the core of Julie’s work. She therefore dedicates a large part of her time to hosting conceptional events and educational workshops. Julie has taught her classes in Spain, Denmark, Portugal, Sweden and the US.
