Emad Al Abdallah
A Syrian refugee engineer in Sweden, who lived through the Syrian tragedy and turned to volunteer work to care for and support children's mental health. He studied psychology, wrote a children's story with forms of psychological support for its readers, and founded a volunteer team to serve this project, which he actively promoted in schools and relief institutions. Emad's experience culminated when he was honored by the Swedish King Carl Gustaf XVI, who handed him the 2018 New Builders Award, and is still working and pursuing his dream of having psychotherapy available to all refugee children around the world.
