Course Brief Description:

Every producer has incredible intuition, which allows them to spot headline stories and professionally elevate them to public attention.

This mission indicates that producers work hard to hunt for stories throughout daily activities, family gatherings, friends chatting, or even during a walk or drive. Thus, you will find that producing is not only an occupation but also a lifestyle and way of thinking.

This course welcomes current podcast producers or those planning to be a part of it to expand their skills and tools in order to produce the perfect podcast. Starting from finding the idea, developing it to become an attractive topic, learning and practicing field research, encouraging people to talk about the topic during interviews, asking the right questions, and telling the story in a complete, professional, and interesting way. Moreover, one will explore how maintaining work ethics in production aligns with creativity and professional responsibility. Furthermore, participants will gain knowledge in order to create and produce impactful episodes that help make a positive change for humanity.

 

Course Objectives:

  • Acquiring a creative mindset throughout life by analyzing skills and managing data to produce an outstanding podcast starting from the idea, field research, to implementation.
  • Building field research skills, networking with narrators, and conducting a professional interview.
  • Obtaining narrative skills and techniques in order to produce influential episodes.
  • Maintaining the work ethics in production aligned with creativity and professional responsibility.

  • To produce a professional podcast episode ready for broadcast.
  • To acquire a complete training guide for the course.

Facilitator

Rawan Alfuraih

A researcher in the field of social anthropology, interested in creating content and storytelling. She holds two master’s degrees in social anthropology and information systems and has published a number of research and scientific papers in her field of anthropology. She has worked with Thamanyah Co. on the production of a range of investigative docuseries and podcasts, and her Malcolm X documentary was screened in cinema houses. She has also worked on several miscellaneous cultural projects, research, and projects in the non-profit sector throughout her career.
