In this session, we reflect anew on the place of the Arabic language in our contemporary lives — not as a static emblem of heritage, but as a living, evolving force capable of renewal and of shaping both consciousness and the future. We recall Al-‘Aqqad’s description of Arabic as a “poetic language,” not merely as an aesthetic observation, but as an implicit acknowledgment of its profound linguistic richness — a language endowed with the capacity to embrace thought, generate meaning, and remain attuned to transformation.
