Interactive Design

This year, Tanween is inviting artists, designers and developers to explore the concept of migration by creating a limited edition artist's print that combines traditional media with Augmented Reality (AR). Inspired by Ithra's landmark exhibition, Hijrah: In the Footsteps of the Prophet ﷺ, which celebrates the Prophet's journey from Makkah to Madinah, the challenge welcomes interpretations of migration in its broadest sense: physical, mental and spiritual, animal and human. Winning entries will be exhibited at Tanween and sold online on Atrum’s website. The very best submissions will also have the opportunity to be selected for minting as an NFT.

Prerequisites:
Artistic skills (painting, photography, graphic design, etc.)
And/Or
Basic 3D design skills (modeling, compositing, etc.)
Basic animation skills (motion graphics, visual effects)

Cairotronica was founded as the Cairo Electronic and New Media Arts Festival, a biannual festival established in 2016 that showcases emerging and established new media artists and offers transformational learning experiences. The idea for Cairotronica developed from noting the global interest in the overlapping of art with technology and science. It is an up-and-coming area of practice globally, and the region lacked a platform to support its talents so they could join in on this contemporary movement.
