Arabic Calligraphy in Contemporary Art

In this session Ithra Art Society will discuss the place of Arabic calligraphy in contemporary art. We will address ideas that focuses on the beauty of the calligraphy and the power it represents, as well as the transformation from the classical style to the various contemporary implementations. The aesthetic and symbolization will also be present in the discussion. Finally, we will examine how graffiti artists use Arabic calligraphy in their work.
