He began his career as a lawyer before transitioning into filmmaking and co-founding the Talashi Film Collective in Riyadh in 2008.
Al-Hamoud has directed several acclaimed short films, including Schizophrenia (2007) and Shadow (2009), which were screened at numerous film festivals and gatherings, such as the Gulf Film Festival, the Palestinian Film Forum in Gaza, the Dubai International Film Festival, the Arab Film Festival in San Francisco and the Colors Art Forum in New York City. His film Shadow, along with other works from Talashi Films, received a Special Recognition Award at the Gulf Film Festival.
Al-Hamoud also worked as a writer and assistant director for the TV series 42 Days. Currently, he is producing his feature-length documentary Noble Voices in California, USA.
