Dr. Fatima Alshamlan is the Chief Operating Officer of the Eye Specialist Hospital in Dhahran, and the Executive Director of Ophthalmology Services at the Eastern Health Cluster. She is also a consultant for pediatric ophthalmology and a squint surgeon (strabismus). In addition to her medical career, Dr. Alshamlan is an editor of Al-Hikma (magazine) and has translated several books and numerous articles.
