Every year, Ithra celebrates Gargee’an. So, what is Gargee’an?
Gargee’an is an annual traditional occasion for children, celebrated in the middle of the Hijri month of Ramadan across the Arab region by wearing traditional clothes, distributing candy to children and reciting the various folk songs associated with the occasion.
What is the target age group for this festival?
Families and their children.
What is the Center’s working hours during Ramadan and Gargee’an?
The Center opens at 8:30 p.m. and closes at 1 a.m.
What sections of Ithra celebrate Gargee’an?
All of Ithra celebrates with you! The following facilities have specialized programs for this occasion: Children’s Museum, Children’s Oasis, Library and Energy Exhibit
Are tickets required for these activities?
During Gargee’an, only the Children’s Museum requires an entry ticket. All the other activities are free.

Ithra’s scheduled programs and activities are updated regularly and shared on Ithra’s official website and all of our social media platforms.
Are there places to eat in the Center?
There are restaurants available, many cafes and a variety of food trucks.
How long do the Gargee'an activities run for?
Gargee'an activities and events will run for four days from March 4 – 7, 2026.
Can I cancel my ticket and get a refund?
No, ticket cancellations and refunds are not allowed as per the terms and conditions stated on Ithra’s website.
