For the first time and for a limited period, the Children’s Museum presents Building Buddies, an interactive exhibition that invites children to explore the world of building and design through play and discovery.
Your building companions are waiting… Let’s build together!
In this exhibition, you will meet different characters across the zones, each offering unique challenges that encourage children to develop specific skills through play and exploration.

Building Buddies is a hands-on, interactive exhibit where children explore basic engineering, construction and problem-solving skills through play. It includes seven stations, each focusing on a different skill or activity.
The exhibit is located inside the Children’s Museum at Ithra.
The exhibit is included within the Children’s Museum entry ticket. No additional ticket or registration is required.
The exhibit is designed primarily for children 2 to 7 years old. However, all ages up to 12 years, accompanied by family members, are welcome to join.
Your child is welcome to stay in the exhibit for the full duration of the Children’s Museum operating hours on the day of your visit.
Children can go out to explore other areas in the Children’s Museum and return to the exhibit within the same visit.
Members of the Children’s Museum team will be available to provide support when needed. However, the exhibition experience is primarily based on self-exploration and independent engagement. In addition, and in accordance with the Children’s Museum policy, children are required to enter the museum accompanied by a guardian. Guardians are welcome to participate with their children inside the exhibit.
Children are invited to practice collaboration, problem-solving, creativity, fine motor skills and basic STEM thinking through building, constructing and experimenting with different materials.
The exhibit runs daily from January 22, 2026 to May 31, 2026, excluding Sundays.
There will be seven interactive stations.
The theme is under building and engineering concepts.
The exhibition is designed as a self-exploratory, open-ended experience and does not require extensive instruction. However, any instructions provided will be available in both Arabic and English.
