Master class title: Shaping Visual Languages with Carlos Mare
Masterclass brief: Participants will experience an immersive and collaborative art practice through the making of paper sculptures. Participants will learn how to visualize, discuss, and apply their creativity as they work from pre-cut or customized designs they create. They will learn how to use familiar or traditional motifs as elements of design for their works as well as reference materials of Ithra itself.
They will gain insight into approaches for sculpture making, visualization, and model making and how that can be applied across many creative disciplines. Participants can work in the Art Room or inSitu (determined installation site), so the public can also witness the process. Upon completion, there will be a short review with participants about the experience. The outcome should be a personal metamorphosis from observer to creator.
