Denise Holloway
Canadian filmmaker
Denise Holloway is a Canadian filmmaker who has been living in Abu Dhabi since 2003. After graduating from Concordia University, Denise produced and contributed to feature documentaries for Canadian broadcasters, including (1997) and 1998). In 2008 she collaborated on Satwa Stories with fellow filmmaker Mahmoud Kaabour, and then went on to lead the development department at Veritas Films in the UAE. In 2015 she directed and produced a 22-minute documentary, From the Hand of Man, following the lives and work of a group of Muslim Indian carvers as they complete a large marble calligraphy project commissioned for the expansion of the Masjid Al Haram in Makkah.
