Mohammed Ait Hanna
Born in Rabat in 1981, Mohammed Hanna is a Moroccan author and translator. His work doesn’t stop there, he is also a researcher in philosophy, literature, and aesthetics. As a postgraduate diploma holder in Philosophy and History of Science, Hanna paved his way to earn the Tabriz Certification in Philosophy. He further shares his vast knowledge by teaching at the Regional Center for Professions of Education and Training in Casablanca. Nevertheless, he has also been a judge for several awards, including the International Prize for Arabic Fiction in 2021, and the Morocco Book Prize. In regards to his writing career, Hanna has written many books. These books include: Desire and Philosophy: An Introduction to Reading Deleuze and Guattari written in 2010, Painting and The Short Story: Moroccan Examples, Moroccan Ministry of Culture publications written in 2012, When Philosophers Fly, White Bells Publications written in 2007, Their Libraries written in 2016, and The Red Garden, a novel written in 2019. Not only has he written books of his own, he has also translated several written publications, such as: Kadhim Jihad’s La part de l’étranger, La traduction de la poésie dans la culture árabe in 2011), Albert Camus’s L’étranger in 2013, Agota Kristof’s The Illiterate in 2013, Daniel Pennac’s Journal D’un Corps in 2015, Agota Kristof’s La Preuve in 2015, and many more.
