The Ithra Children’s Festival is a celebration of creativity, culture, and learning designed for children and families during the summer season. Through interactive workshops, performances, storytelling sessions, art installations, theater shows, and drop-in activities, children are invited to learn through play, making, and discovery.
This year’s festival explores the idea of “home” as both a physical space and a sense of belonging. Across hands-on experiences, children explore over how homes are designed, built, and shaped by people, animals, nature, and imagination. From creating and experimenting to storytelling and collaboration, the festival encourages children to explore how spaces can provide shelter, connection, comfort, and expression.

What is the Ithra Children’s Festival 2026?
The Ithra Children’s Festival is a vibrant annual event designed to spark imagination, creativity, and curiosity in children from 12 years old and younger. This year’s theme, “Home”, invites families to explore a world of possibility through hands-on workshops, performances, and storytelling, as well as interactive experiences at the Book Fair.
When is the festival taking place?
The festival will run from July 6 to 25, during the summer holidays.
Is there an entry fee?
You can come and enjoy the festival for free, but entry to some museums and special festival programs may require a ticket. Tickets can be purchased from the website or the box office.
How can I buy tickets?
Tickets can be purchased online on the website or mobile app. You can also buy them at the Ithra box office during operating hours.
Do I need to book in advance?
Advanced booking is strongly recommended for ticketed programs, as some programs have limited capacity and may sell out quickly.
What age group is the festival suitable for?
The festival is designed for families and their children from 12 years old and younger, however, there are activities suited for all family members.
Can adults attend with their children?
Absolutely! All experiences are designed for parents and children to enjoy together.
Are there activities for toddlers?
Yes! We have special toddler-friendly programs suitable for ages 3 years old and younger, including the 1,2,3 Let’s Rhyme program, which is available Monday - Saturday, and Toddler’s Tuesday, a program available only on Tuesdays.
What is “What if I Spent a Night at Ithra”?
It is a unique, after-hours experience exclusively available to Ithra members. This special event offers families an opportunity to explore Ithra in a new light, with curated surprises and exclusive access to exhibits, storytelling, and interactive stations. Is there a nursing or baby care area?
Yes, we have a dedicated room for nursing and resting with your baby.
Will the Children’s Bookfair be part of the children festival event?
Yes, the bookfair will take place from July 20 - July 25. The daily schedule is as follows: Monday to Thursday and Saturday, 1 - 10 p.m., and Fridays, 4 - 10 p.m. Please note that Ithra is closed on Sundays.
