In a burning Baghdad, a diabetic street child escapes into a world of myth, seeking to resurrect his parents. As his friend is swept away by violence, Jam-Jam finds himself compelled to save him, drawing on the shadows of Gilgamesh and the winged bull, in a city that refuses to die.

 

Mohamed Al-Daradji

Mohamed Al-Daradji is an award-winning filmmaker known for socially engaging films. Born in Baghdad, he studied film and television at the Media Academy in the Netherlands before moving to the UK, where he earned two masters’ degrees in cinematography and directing from the Northern Film School in Leeds. He is the co-founder of Human Film, a UK-based production company with producer Isabelle Stead. Al-Daradji also founded the Iraqi Independent Film Center, an initiative dedicated to nurturing independence and creativity among emerging Iraqi filmmakers.
