Director
Rand Beiruty
Jordanian director, writer, and creative producer based between Amman and Berlin, and the founder of Shaghab Films. She earned her MA in Media Arts and Design from Bauhaus University Weimar and is currently pursuing a practice-based Ph.D. at Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF. Beiruty has participated in various artist residencies, including the Villa Aurora Residency in the USA in 2025 and the Ciclic Animation Residency in France in 2024. She has received multiple awards, such as the ECFA Award for Best European Feature Documentary for Young Audience for her film, Tell Them About Us, in the Czech Republic in 2024. Additionally, she has been involved in international film labs and initiatives, including Berlinale Talents in Germany and Rotterdam Lab in the Netherlands.
