In the aftermath of the second Gulf War, Hobal tells the story of a Bedouin family living in isolation in the desert. They face a difficult test when their daughter, Rifeh, contracts a contagious disease. This leads the mother to secretly defy the grandfather's laws to save her daughter, with the help of Assaf, who fears losing her.

Saudi director and filmmaker born in Riyadh in 1986. He taught himself filmmaking as a result of his interest in cinema and the methods of filmmaking. He directed shorts and feature films and participated in important television series. He won the Best Director Award at the Malmo Arab Film Festival, and his film "The Tambour of Retribution" won several awards at the 42nd Cairo International Film Festival as well as the Saudi Film Festival, earning him a distinguished presence in Saudi cinema. His latest feature film, “HOBAL ,” won the audience award at the Red Sea Film Festival . HOBAL also recorded a Saudi loss for five consecutive weeks, grossing $7 million.
