Stefan Sagmeister

Award-winning graphic designer and lecturer, whose clients included The Rolling Stones, HBO and the Guggenheim, and whose graphic design show is the most visited in history.

Stefan Sagmeister formed the New York-based Sagmeister Inc design company in 1993 and has since designed for clients as diverse as The Rolling Stones, HBO and the Guggenheim Museum. An established graphic designer and typographer, his package designs have won him two Grammy Awards.

Stefan’s work has been showcased internationally in more than a dozen major cities. Stefan’s thematic exhibition, The Happy Show, attracted over half of a million visitors worldwide and became the world’s most-visited graphic design show.

Stefan also lectures extensively around the world, and teaches at the graduate department of the School of Visual Art in New York. A native of Austria, he received his MFA from the University of Applied Arts in Vienna and is a Fulbright Scholar with a master’s degree from Pratt Institute in New York.
