Shaker Kashagri is a Saudi calligrapher and artist born in 1989 in Jiddah, Saudi Arabia. His journey in Arabic calligraphy began in 2013 with the Diwani script before transitioning to modern styles, including Freestyle, Al Wissam script, and Kufi.
He has showcased his work in numerous exhibitions across Jiddah, Riyadh and Sharjah, collaborating with ATHR Gallery and the Saudi Art Council. Kashagri has also performed live calligraphy demonstrations at major events, including Dubai Expo 2020.
Shaker’s artistic approach is rooted in conceptual Arabic calligraphy, exploring innovative compositions and interpretations. Since 2016, he has also been engaged in light painting, further expanding his creative expression.
