Shaima Saleh

Multimedia Artist

Shaima Saleh is a Jiddah-based multimedia artist whose practice explores the poetic significance of everyday objects and the hidden meanings within ordinary materials. Her work explores themes of time, home, and memory through the use of found or collected objects.

Saleh gathers materials from sidewalks, the ruins of houses, and abandoned spaces, assembling them into installations that re-examine what is personal and intimate. Writing also plays a central role in her artistic process, often manifesting in her work as texts, notes, or poetic fragments.

Through her practice, she seeks to reflect carefully on the passage of time and to create thoughtful rituals, in the hope of embracing a more attentive way of seeing, observing, and caring. Saleh studied painting and fine arts at the University of Jeddah. Her work has been exhibited in Cairo, Riyadh, and Jiddah.
