Safeya Binzagr was born in Jiddah in 1940. One of the pioneers of Saudi art, she trained in printmaking at Saint Martins of the University of the Arts London.  She is a passionate advocate for the preservation of the rich heritage of Saudi Arabia and she founded Darat Safeya Binzagr in 1995.
