Saddek Wasil
Sculptor
Saddek Wasil is a renowned Saudi sculptor known for his powerful metal sculptures made from salvaged materials. He discovered his passion for metalwork in his father’s garage, teaching himself welding and repurposing discarded car parts. His abstract figures and human masks reflect themes of resilience, emotion, and spiritual freedom. A self-taught artist, Wasil rejects traditional sculpting methods, shaping metal with raw energy and precision.
His work transforms industrial waste into expressive visual narratives, emphasizing empowerment, diversity, and human connection. With a background in Environmental Studies and Agricultural Sciences, he brings a unique perspective to his practice. Wasil’s sculptures have been exhibited widely in Saudi Arabia and internationally, including in Istanbul, Vienna and Shanghai.
