Roaa Mofreh is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist with a background in psychology. Her practice is rooted in documentation and archival methods as tools for both healing and inquiry. Working across photography, video, text, sculpture and installation, she explores themes such as materiality and temporality of memory, identity, body as archival space and women's subjectivities, often engaging with contrasts and margins within contemporary everyday life through an ancient countercultural imagery.

In her approach of attending to overlooked personal histories and placing them into larger narratives, Mofreh traces the tensions between the intimate and the collective, seeking to embody soft forms of resistance and care.
