Teaches Information Science at King Abdulaziz University, and has served as the President of the Specialized Libraries Association - Arabian Gulf Chapter in 2024 and he held the position of the President of the Arab Federation for Libraries and Information (AFLI) for three terms until 2022. He also served as Head of the Department of Information Science and Vice Dean of Library Affairs at King Abdulaziz University. Prof. Al Sereihy is the first Secretary-General of the King Abdulaziz Complex for Endowment Libraries and has authored 15 books and more than 60 research papers. He is also the editor-in-chief of a specialized journal in the field of libraries.
