Nawaf Al Dohan (b. 1993) is a Saudi experimental artist and inventor based in Riyadh. With a background in computer science, he creates interactive and immersive experiences that merge technology with cultural memory. His work explores the relationship between Riyadh’s natural environment and its rapid urban and digital transformation, often using cloud imagery and themes of flight. Beginning his creative journey through comics, Al Dohan later expanded into pixel art, animation and new media. In 2019, he was among the top 20 finalists in Riyadh’s Artathon, where artists explored the use of artificial intelligence in art. He also holds a U.S. patent for a computing technique developed in 2022 to enhance viewer interaction with digital visual content.
