Mohamed Shawky (Singer)
Mohamed Shawky has participated many times as a soloist at the Egyptian Opera House, such as the memorial celebrations of Abdel Halim Hafez (the “Nightingale”) and the great composers and poets of the Arabic song. While a student at Ain Shams University, he was featured as a vocalist three times at the Opera House. Shawky has also participated in several sessions of the Arab Music Conference and Festival. He specializes in opera ballads and difficult musical templates. He has been featured in the Baalbek International Festival in Lebanon’s tribute to Abdel Halim Hafez and performed in the experimental opening of the Music Hall in Arts City in the Egyptian Administrative Capital. He is a vocalist in the Arab Heritage Music Ensemble at the Opera House and regularly participates as a guest of honor with several specialized ensembles.
