Laura Egerton

Laura Egerton has been working with the UAE arts community since 2006 with high profile organizations such as Art Dubai, Louvre Abu Dhabi and Alserkal Avenue.

Originally from London, Laura moved to Dubai as part of the founding team behind Art Dubai, curating art projects during the inaugural edition and going on to manage important educational aspects of the art fair such as the Global Art Forum, Art Week, the Abraaj Group Art Prize and the art fair’s internship program.

Laura previously project managed a symposium ‘Worlds in a Museum’ at Louvre Abu Dhabi to celebrate the institution’s first anniversary in 2018, and regularly delivers bespoke seminars and workshops focusing on art writing and curating. Laura also gives guided tours of prominent cultural spaces such as the galleries at Alserkal Avenue and mentors artists.

Additionally, Laura has built up a portfolio of published writing in the field of the visual arts, regularly contributing to The National, Canvas, Selections and Open Skies among others. She has also edited publications for Akkadia Press, Jameel Arts Centre and private galleries.

Laura holds MAs in the History of Art from Cambridge University and the Courtauld Institute of Art.
