Hind Slila
Hind Slila is a Moroccan illuminator residing in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. After completing her studies at the Faculty of Legal, Economic, and Social Sciences in Fez, Slila pursued further education at Al-Qarawiyyin University – Sahrij School (Department of Arabic Calligraphy and Illumination), where she specialized in Islamic illumination.
She mastered both Mashriqi (Turkish school) and Maghrebi (Moroccan school) illumination, as well as Islamic geometric design, including tawriq (Arabesque) and tastir (lining techniques).
Hind has collaborated with numerous calligraphers and participated in various specialized events in the fields of illumination and Arabic calligraphy, including the Illumination of the Ummah’s Mushaf in Turkiye, the 8th International Forum of Fine Arts in Kenitra, and Laylat Al-Arwiqa in Fez.
