Fatemah Qandel

Fatemah Qandel is an Egyptian poet and academic. She was born in Suez in 1958, and obtained a master's degree for her thesis Intertextuality in the Poetry of the Seventies, and a doctorate for her thesis On the Poetry of Prose Writing by Gibran Khalil Gibran. She participated in editing the magazine Fusul for Literary Criticism, and published her poems: So That We Can Live (1984), Curfew (1987), The Second Night Past 1000 (a poetic play that was shown at Al Ghurfa Theater in 1990), The Silence of a Wet Cotton (Dar Sharqiyat 1995), Hung Questions As Sacrifice (Arab Renaissance House 2008), I'm Your Headstone (​​Dar Afaq 2009), My Home Has Two Doors (Dar Al Ain 2017), as well as many studies, translations and literary articles.
