Ethar Tariq Balkhair
Saudi Visual Artist & Cultural Curator
A Saudi visual artist and cultural curator based in Jiddah, Ethar Tariq Balkhair translates memory, place, and identity into visual systems that make complex cultural content legible and emotionally resonant. Rooted in frameworks she developed over a decade of work with Saudi cultural institutions and global brands, her practice positions brands as carriers of culture, cultural institutions as living archives, and Saudi heritage as a contemporary, evolving language.
Driven by this instinct, she founded Atheer Arts, Curation & Cultural Preservation (AACP), an artist-led studio centered on experimentation, archiving, research, publishing, and communications — dedicated to preserving and reimagining Saudi legacy through strategic partnerships and artistic innovation.
She is the artist behind the Saudia Airlines Anchor Illustration System, a visual identity for the national carrier grounded in Saudi cultural memory. She has also collaborated with Tiffany & Co. and Harvey Nichols London, alongside culturally rooted projects with government entities. Her work sits at the intersection of cultural authenticity and design, carrying forward the living legacy of Saudi and Islamic heritage
