Almulla works in the field of cultural consultancy for a number of institutions and cultural centers. He was a founder of the Saudi Film Festival and has held the position of Director of the Festival since 2008. He was also a founder of House of Poetry and served as director from 2015 until 2017. In addition, Almulla has a long history in journalism and his poems have been translated into French, English, German, Azerbaijani and Persian.
