Abdulaziz Albediwi

Abdulaziz Albediwi is a Saudi calligrapher born in Riyadh in 1977. He is a member of the Saudi Scientific Society for Arabic Calligraphy and holds a bachelor’s degree in Sharia Law from Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University and a master’s degree in Aqidah (Islamic Creed) from the Islamic University of Madinah. He is the founder and owner of Ibn Muqla, one of the largest Arabic calligraphy supply stores in the Middle East. He has conducted numerous calligraphy training courses, both in schools and summer camps, as well as overseeing various educational workshops and gatherings. He has participated in international exhibitions, including in Aqaba, Jordan, and Sharjah, UAE. He has competed in global competitions such as the IRCICA Arabic Calligraphy Competition and the Fujairah International Competition for Arabic Calligraphy. He has received several awards, including first place in the Values and Ethics competition and second place in the King Abdulaziz Library competition. Albediwi has also obtained the Ijazah in Diwani script from his mentor and master calligrapher Nasser AlMaymon.

His works have been acquired by the Emirate Palace in Madinah and the King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue.
