The course prepares writers, illustrators, researchers and educators to enter the world of children's stories, whether they are aspiring authors, artists, publishers or simply interested in children's literature. It seeks to introduce children's literature and the art of the story in particular. Additionally, it aims to distinguish between different age groups and identify the appropriate narrative text for them by defining and differentiating between types of children's stories. Moreover, the course provides training on the steps for writing picture books and young adult stories (chapter books), reviewing global and local experiences and experimenting with writing a picture book or a young adult story (chapter book).
