This session addresses the journey of the children's book through publishing and translation, and discusses how stories, values, and ideas are conveyed to children across multiple languages and cultures. In the session, there is also a discussion of the role of publishers and translators in enriching cultural content directed at children.

Taqreed Najjar
Writer of children's literature and founder of Al Salwa Publishing.
Samar Brraj
Author of children's and young adult books, and a Lebanese translator. She leads workshops in creative writing, translation, and encouraging reading She was nominated for the Hans Christian Andersen World Award in 2024.
Israa Adel
Translator, writer, and Director of Communication and Partnerships at the Translation Association, holding academic and professional qualifications in the field of global communication, and representing the Kingdom in a number of international programs.
