In an evening celebrating poetry and evoking the beauty of language and the spirit of creativity, we aim to present a poetic artistic event titled "Poetic Performance." Through this event, we shed light on the experience of the great poet Ghazi Al-Qusaibi—may God have mercy on him—offering a comprehensive artistic blend that brings together poetry, music, and the arts.
Participating in the performance are a group of friends and professionals in the fields of literature and art: narrators, writers, calligraphers, photographers, musicians, painters, artists, and reciters. This initiative seeks to transform Al-Qusaibi’s poetry—may God have mercy on him—into a sensory and immersive experience, where the audience can interact visually and aurally. Poetry remains the central element, around which other artistic forms gather to create a rich artistic composition that reflects the depth, symbolism, and cultural impact of his works on the Saudi and Arab cultural landscapes.
The program includes selected readings from Al-Qusaibi’s poetry, accompanied by live musical performances, as well as visual art pieces inspired by the themes of his poems. This aims to reshape the relationship between word, rhythm, and image through an interactive and profound artistic experience.
This evening is not simply a tribute to the late poet—may God have mercy on him—but an artistic exploration of his vast poetic world. It is an effort to revive his legacy through contemporary mediums that resonate with new generations, highlighting its timeless and transcultural artistic power.
