Sharqiya Book Fair

The Sharqiya Book Fair is an annual exhibition held in the city of Dhahran in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. It took place for the first time on March 2-11, 2023 and was organized by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission as part of its strategy of organizing more book fairs across Saudi Arabia. The first edition launched last year under the theme “Exhibition - Culture - Civilization - Art” at Dhahran Expo, in a cultural partnership with the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra).
This year's book fair is accompanied by rich cultural programming which includes more than 140 events and activities presented by Ithra, the cultural partner of the Sharqiya Book Fair. The programs range from talks, discussions, workshops and poetry readings to a lyric poetry concert performed by the Saudi National Orchestra on the last day of the Book Fair.
