We invite you to discover Ithra’s Mono-Surface in a new light!
The “Discovery Light Trail” is a beautiful way to see Ithra in a new way. Contemplative and playful, the lighting installations take you on a journey across this unique landscape. The variety of installations are inspired by nature, our landscape and representations of the unique flora and fauna of the Arabian Peninsula.
Luminous birds in delicate shapes hang in the trees. All the birds, white and gold in color, seem frozen in perpetual flight. This presentation represents a flock of 100 birds where some are settled, some are in flight, and some are in the trees and flying between the trees.

Pitaya is a French creative studio founded by David Lesort and Arnaud Giroud, who use the medium of light for an artistic and empathetic vision. Over 15 years ago, they debuted with 30 huge original light chandeliers for the Festival of Lights in Lyon and have ever since continuously developed new work for exhibits worldwide.
Blossom is an invitation to contemplate, with more than a hundred of white flowers nestling in the trees. The installation is made of 120 white flowers of various sizes that seem to have blossomed on the branches of the plants. During daytime, the flowers look very delicate with their white petals that give the impression they were cut and folded like paper flowers; they are discreet and delicate in the landscape. At night, the atmosphere of the installation changes completely as all the flowers are lighted with different gradients of colors, as if they were “painted” by the light. The installation becomes very contemplative, inviting the visitors to walk in the space and to discover their surroundings with a new sight.

Flying as swarms in the trees, the multicolored birds of Colibris look from afar like a multitude of points of colored light that brighten their environment. The hummingbirds are part of the family of "lumigrators" — a light installation about migration. Their simple and pure form is reminiscent of origami. They will remain here for a while and will then resume their luminous migration to new destinations. This installation is made up of a swarm of 45 birds, until they take flight once again.

Flynns are strange luminous objects that move above the audience in the wind, like a contemporary chandelier. Coming and going in changing colors, the luminous objects evoke mysterious bioluminescent creatures and improbable extraterrestrial flora. The visitor becomes an explorer and witness to a new form of life.

Created by Ithaca Audio initially for Blenhiem Palace, UK, since then it has been reinvented to celebrate many different landscapes, filling bespoke spaces with light programmed to specifically developed audio tracks created by the artists.

Nura means “place” or “country.” Each of the illuminating pillars highlights the patterns, images and objects which can be found in Ithra’s own collection of Islamic Art. Artisans have always been inspired by nature and Nura shows many of the beautiful flowers and plants which were used as subjects for tiles, rugs and textiles.
