As part of UNESCO’s World Conference on Culture and Arts Education taking place February 13 – 15, 2024 in Abu Dhabi, Ithra is delighted to host a panel titled “Cultivating Collaborations and Shared Practices for a Sustainable Future.” The panel will examine recent trends and developments in the Saudi creative and cultural sector and discuss collaborative efforts focused on building momentum and sustaining long-term impact.

Arts and culture activities have been flourishing across the country; for example, while KSA led the G20 with 8.7% GDP growth in 2022, the GDP of the creative and cultural sector grew at an extraordinary rate of 13%. The panel will discuss the important platforms being established to enable the realization of the goals set by Vision 2030 and a recently published report from the Ministry of Culture regarding the development of a vibrant national culture sector and enhanced opportunities for greater international cultural exchange.

Ithra’s panel will bring together key leaders from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia who represent the current landscape in the arts and culture sector. The discussion will address the importance of creative collaborations, delve into the relevance of arts and culture in the education system and highlight the current cooperation models.
