Born in Khobar in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province, Jassim lives and works in Qatif and has been working as an artist for over 30 years. He holds a Diploma from the Institute of Art Education in Riyadh with distinction. Jassim has participated in many local and international exhibitions in Qatif, Khobar, Jeddah, Muscat, Kuwait, Bahrain, Dubai as well as two solo exhibitions in Paris, Beijing and Seoul. He has won numerous awards, most recently first prize in the Ambassador Award and the Kharafi International Biennale in Kuwait. He was involved in many art events in Saudi Arabia and abroad with department of Foreign Affairs. He has also served as Chairman of the Community of Fine Arts in Qatif as well as in the Fine Arts and Culture Society in Dammam. Jassim has worked as an art consultant on projects to improve the aesthetics of private and public buildings. His artworks can be seen in many important locations including museums, international galleries, Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the Foreign and Interior Ministry buildings, the Midra building in Aramco, and the King Abdullah Sports City.
